🎨 Why I Created an Armenian Coloring Book in 2025

And Why Art Still Holds Our Stories

In 2025, I decided to create coloring books.
Not just any coloring book — but one that could carry the soul of a country, the rhythm of its music, the warmth of its villages, and the silence of its memory.
That country was Armenia — and the book became:
“Armenia’s Ancestral Beauty: A Coloring Book of Tradition & Soul.”

🌿 Art as Memory

As an artist and a mom, I’ve always believed in preserving stories — not just through words, but through images, symbols, and emotions.
Coloring is more than a hobby. It’s an invitation to slow down, reflect, and remember. It’s quiet… but powerful.

Armenian culture is full of richness — the sound of the duduk, the sight of Mount Ararat, the taste of apricots and gata, the sacred stone crosses of khachkars, the dancing rhythm of kochari.
These aren’t just traditions — they are living threads that connect us to our ancestors.

✨ Why a Coloring Book?

Because I wanted something that:

  • Kids and adults could enjoy together
  • Was accessible, calming, and emotionally rich
  • Could bring heritage into everyday homes in a joyful way

Through 50 pages of bold-lined illustrations, I’ve tried to capture everyday life, historical landmarks, folk symbols, and traditional scenes.

Whether you’re Armenian or just curious, this book invites you into a cultural journey you can color with your heart.

💡 Creative Cultural Activities for Kids

Want to go further with your child or student after coloring? Try:

  • Listening to Armenian music while coloring (start with the duduk or Pari Arakil)
  • Researching the real monuments in the pages — like Tsitsernakaberd, Mount Ararat, or the Alphabet Monument
  • Trying Armenian recipes like lavash, khorovats, or gata together
  • Telling stories about family memories, ancestry, or favorite childhood traditions

These aren’t just fun — they’re bonding moments that plant roots.
